TMS 2009 attendees can plan their conference experience and create a customized agenda.
For the thousands of materials scientists, engineers, students, and faculty who will attend the TMS 2009 Annual Meeting February 15–19 in San Francisco, planning which symposia, committee meetings, or networking receptions to attend can get a bit hectic. For that reason, the Personal Conference Scheduler (PCS) is now available for all registered attendees to start building their schedules.
Located on the TMS 2009 homepage, the PCS is a complete scheduling tool that will allow any attendee to create a customized agenda. After selecting the PCS, select TMS 2009 Annual Conference. TMS members and registered CMS-Plus users can access the PCS using their member log-in. Non-members must create a user name and log-in.
The PCS allows attendees to view the technical program and calendar of events by conference days. By selecting each day, all of the symposia, networking events, special lectures, and events will appear on the web page. Beside each listing is the time and location of the event. Clicking on the box to the left of the listing places that event in your customized calendar. Once all listings have been viewed and selected, click the "compile schedule" button on the left. This feature will create the schedule and indicate if any conflicts will occur.
Schedules can be updated and changed at any time. To add a meeting or event that is not listed in the conference scheduler, click the "create & edit custom items" feature and add that important event. For more information or to create a customized schedule, visit the Personal Conference Scheduler.
