5th International Symposium on High-Temperature Metallurgical Processing
This symposium will address high-efficiency new metallurgical technology; fundamental research of metallurgical process; alloy and materials preparation; roasting, reduction, and smelting; simulation and modeling; treatment and recycling of solid slag/wastes; microwave heating; energy and environment; agglomeration; and raw materials processing.
Materials Processing Fundamentals
The key interest areas to be covered in this symposium are all aspects of the fundamentals, synthesis, analysis, design, monitoring, and control of metals, materials, and metallurgical processes and phenomena.
Shape Casting: 5th International Symposium
This symposium will address process-structure-property relationships in cast metals, recent developments and innovations in shape casting technologies, microstructural characterization of cast metals, performance of shape castings, and new cast alloy development.
Solidification in Additive Manufacturing
This symposium will look at the role of solidification on the structure, properties, and synthesis rate of components fabricated from metal and alloy powders by additive manufacturing. It will also include how micro and meso scale solidification processing and modifications in the powder feedstock materials and melting/solidification parameters can be utilized to design materials and alloys with specified properties.
