This important monograph is a summation of work in solder research examining the areas of the field which are well understood, addressing issues of contention among researchers, and discussing the topics worthy of future evaluation. This book is a collection of papers from the 1990 TMS Annual Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1990. While the book is out-of-print, but PDFs of individual papers can be ordered. Sections remaining particularly relavant for today include Physical Metallurgy of Solder Alloys, Physical Metallurgy of Solder-Substrate Reactions and Thermomechanical Fatigue in Solder Materials.
