Professional engineer (PE) licensure is the preferred credential in the United States for engineers to bid on government contracts, be a principal of a firm, perform consulting services, and protect public health, safety, and welfare. It can also give you a competitive edge over non-licensed job candidates and a greater earning potential.

Let TMS help you achieve PE licensing designation with the TMS Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) Licensing Exam Review Course—the only review course focused specifically on the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering PE Licensing Exam.

About This Course

This course and instructors will not provide specific exam questions, but rather cover a review of exam knowledge areas. As well as provide, practice and group work on sample problems based on the TMS PE Review Course Study Guide (sample questions). The program will help potential exam-takers identify which areas are strengths and which areas to focus their studying, saving time in the months leading up to the exam. The PE Review course instructors may utilize materials covered in the Reference Handbook provided by NCEES to illustrate example problems but will not cover the entirety of the Reference Handbook. In 2023, 68% of first-time takers passed the PE Metallurgical and Materials exam. The average pass rate for first-time takers of all PE exams in 2023 was 66%.
