Quote:
“The TMS organization and the TMS Annual Meeting are excellent forums for communication within the international aluminium industry. As an academic, it helps to ensure that the work I do is focused on real and immediate technical issues in light metals production. The Light Metals Award is a particular honor that I am grateful to accept. It is especially pleasing to me that this award recognizes ‘the application of science to the solution of a practical problem.’ ”
