Please Note: The Congressional Science and Engineering Fellowship program permanently concluded on August 31, 2021. The program is no longer accepting new applicants. These web pages are available as a resource that allows you to view previous years' award recipients and read about their experiences. For more detail, visit the Current and Past Fellows web page.

TMS participated in this fellowship program from 2008 to 2021. Through this program, a fellow was selected through a competitive process and offered a one-year experience in Washington, DC working in the office of a member of Congress or congressional committee.  The program was administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). TMS co-sponsored the award from 2011 through 2021 with the Materials Research Society (MRS). For the two cycles preceding, additional materials societies were included in the sponsorship.
