This review was carried out at the request of the US Department of Energy (DOE) Yucca Mountain Project, and was jointly organized by the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the International Atomic Energy Agency of the United Nations. The objective was to review and critically analyze the performance assessment methodology and rationale used by the USDOE in support of the current site recommendation decision process.
