This animation of the effect of temperature on conductivity of an n-type semiconductor shows side-by-side diagrams of the band diagram, the Fermi function, and an Arrhenius plot of the conductivity as they change with temperature.
The VIMS web resource offers a detailed description of an interactive and graphics-based sophomore level introductory materials science course available on CD-ROM. Links to sample animated graphics, videos, and worked problems are provided throughout the description. The course was developed as an initiative of the Southeastern University and College Coalition for Engineering Education (SUCCEED). Citation: Russ, John C.
