Two video excerpts on Cu and Zn from The History Channel's "Modern Marvels" series are available in a web-enhanced feature article from JOM. The article interviews the creators of the "Modern Marvels" series.

Copper Video Supplement
The Bingham Canyon copper mine in Utah is so vast it can be seen from space. The largest copper mine in the world, it has produced $6 billion in copper since its inception. Copper's role in communications is presented in this video clip as well. (Video courtesy of The History Channel and Actuality Productions.)

Zinc Video Supplement
Zinc galvanizing provides corrosion resistance to add years to the life of steel. Other uses for Zn discussed in the video include space shuttle heat resistant tiles, sunblock, and medicinal applications. Zn production is demonstrated.
