This 53 minute webcast introduces electrochemistry modeling and describes the Boundary Element Method (BEM) for electrochemistry modeling. BEM applications include solid mechanics, heat conduction, diffusion, and electromigration. Specific applications in the webcast include solid oxide membrane (SOM) magnesium electrolysis and cathodic protection.
This webcast was the MaterialsTechnology@TMS Education Resource Award winner for the Materials, Processing & Manufacturing Division 2008.
