This site offers free learning interactive tutorials and simulation of liquid oxide inclusions transformation which follows after change of oxidation level, chemistry, or temperature of liquid steel. Herein, transformation means a change of inclusions mass and chemistry. The program gives clear understanding of the internal dependencies in liquid steel – oxide inclusions system and the effect of some parameters on transformation processes.
“Slag – steel” software was designed for calculating of chemical composition of liquid steel, which is in equilibrium with selected slag. Chemical composition of slag, temperature of metal-slag system, and carbon, nitrogen, sulfur amounts in steel are taken into account by this program. Values of these parameters are set by users.
