Website provides a tutorial on the application of nickel-based superalloy castings in a floatwall panel of a jet engine combustor. The design study includes considerations on how to design for performance and for castability/manufacturability. Detailed description of the panels is given and challenges of the design are described. The visitor is then guided through each step of the process.
