In addition to providing general information on the program's structure and activities, this web site offers a large directory of publications and presentations, linked to full text documents in PDF format. The goals of the program are to: develop the scientific understanding of the mechanisms which control the physical, mechanical, and chemical behavior of materials in the fusion environment; identify performance limiting phenomena and apply the scientific underpinning to the continued development of improved properties and the expansion of performance windows; and to acquire performance data.
