Nuclear power's prominence as a major energy source will continue over the next several decades, according to projections made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report entitled Energy, Electricity and Nuclear Power for the Period up to 2030.
This is the 27th edition of Reference Data Series No. 1 (RDS-1), containing the most recent estimates of energy, electricity and nuclear power trends up to 2030. To access RDS-1 . Nuclear data in RDS-1 are based on statistical data collected by the IAEA's Nuclear Energy Department and consistent with the Agency's Power Reactor Information System (PRIS). Energy and electricity data for 2006 are estimates based on information from the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations.
