This brief PowerPoint presentation describes the suitability of semi-solid casting methods (thixomolding and thixocasting) and squeeze casting to magnesium. The greatest emphasis is on thixomolding, with a description of the process, a discussion of its advantages and mention of the alloys for which this process has been used.
