Honors and Awards
The mission of TMS is to promote the global science and engineering professions concerned with minerals, metals, and materials.

Recipient: 2010 Bruce Chalmers Award

The Bruce Chalmers Award, was established in 1994 and is named for Bruce Chalmers, the widely acknowledged father of modern solidification science. This award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions and is a leader in the field of solidification science.

Biography:
Christoph Beckermann is a University of Iowa Foundation Distinguished Professor and director of the Solidification Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Iowa.
