Edward A. Loria

Citation: "For organizing and editing proceedings of five International Symposia on Superalloys 718, 625, and 706."

Biography: Edward A. Loria is a metallurgical consultant retired from Universal-Cyclops Specialty Steel Division of Cyclops Corporation.

Mr. Loria earned a B.S. in 1944 and an M.S. in 1946, both in Metallurgical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was named Fellow in 1946 and Senior Fellow in 1950.

Mr. Loria has held various positions with four major steel companies, two major alloy producers, two research institutes, and a U.S. government laboratory. He has published over 200 papers, accepted as advancements in state-of-knowledge on metals producers and usage.

Honors and awards received include: AIME Charles H. Herty Award, ASM Fellow, Engineering Materials Achievment Award, Edgar C. Bain Award, Andrew Carnegie Lecture, and William Hunt Eisenman Award.
