is a partner and registered patent attorney with the Pittsburgh office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP. A member of the firm’s intellectual property (IP) and technology groups, his practice includes patent procurement, IP evaluation and enforcement, technology clearance, preparation of IP opinions and agreements, and patent and other IP litigation. His technical concentration is in the materials science and chemical areas with significant emphasis on stainless steels, titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt-based superalloys, and exotic material.

Christopher Paradies, Ph.D., is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Tampa office of Fowler White Boggs Banker. His practice assists clients with management of intellectual property, including acquisition, licensing, enforcement in court, and defense against claims. He has extensive experience as both a researcher in industry and a patent attorney. His technical areas of expertise include nanotechnology, materials science, semiconductor processing, chemistry, aerospace, medical treatments, medical devices and drug delivery.

Steven P. Marsh, Ph.D., is a patent attorney with the New York office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP. His practice includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing patentability opinions, licensing technology, and litigating patent disputes. He works primarily in the technical areas of advanced materials, chemistry, nanotechnology, semiconductors, and medical and mechanical devices. Dr. Marsh is a 22-year member of TMS and past chair of the solidification committee.
