TMS understands that many organizations have limited budgets for travel and meeting attendance. Use the items in this toolkit to demonstrate to your supervisor the value of attending the TMS 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibition, to request funding for travel and registration, and to guarantee you get the best value for your dollar.

THIS KIT INCLUDES
Justification Letter: Customize this letter template with information specific to your employer and responsibilities and then submit it to your supervisor to request funding to attend the TMS 2014 Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
TMS2014 Advance Brochure: This PDF succinctly outlines the highlights of the meeting and benefits of attending. Simply highlight the items you wish to attend and submit it to your supervisor along with (or in place of) the Justification Letter.
COST-SAVING TIPS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Consider these tips to help reduce the cost of your trip and to make the most of the funds your company spends on travel:

Update Your TMS Membership: Current TMS members can save up to $185 on their meeting registration compared to non-members.*
Register Early: Submit your registration form and payment by January 17 to receive the discounted registration rate (a savings of up to $130).
Book Hotel Rooms Early: TMS has reserved blocks of rooms at discounted rates at nine hotels convenient to the San Diego Convention Center. Book early to ensure placement in one of these room blocks.
Make the Most of Your Travel: While in San Diego, plan to attend one of eleven TMS Short Courses held in conjunction with the meeting to receive more bang for your travel buck.
Share What You Learn: Offer to prepare and deliver a short presentation for your non-attending colleagues after the meeting to share what you learned. That way others in your organization will get the benefits of your attendance, too.
Download the Collected Proceedings: Every attendee who registers for the full meeting receives electronic access to the complete published proceedings. Be sure to download this valuable reference source shortly before or after the meeting to maximize your registration investment.
