MATERIALS PROCESSING AND PRODUCTION
Abstract submission for the TMS 2013 Annual Meeting is now closed.
4th International Symposium on High-Temperature Metallurgical Processing
This symposium will cover topics related to the analysis, development and/or operation of high temperature processes that involve the beneficiation of minerals, production of metals, alloys (including ferroalloys) and ceramic materials.
|
Friction Stir Welding and Processing VII
This symposium features new discoveries and advances in the fields of metallic materials fatigue, specifically microstructure driven modeling and in-situ characterization.
|
High Temperature Electrochemistry
This symposium will provide a forum for discussion on the advancements in all aspects of high temperature electrochemistry, from the fundamental to the empirical and from the theoretical to the applied.
|
Materials Processing Fundamentals
The key interest areas to be covered in this symposium include all aspects of the fundamentals, synthesis, analysis, design, monitoring, and the control of metals, materials, and metallurgical processes and phenomena.
|
Ni-Co 2013
This symposium will cover the entire gamut of research, ranging from the processing of nickel- and cobalt-based ores to the new applications for these materials, including valuable by-products found in these ores.
|
Novel Synthesis and Consolidation of Powder Materials
In this proposed six-session symposium, papers addressing all aspects of novel powder synthesis and consolidation will be presented, and the proceedings, based on invitation, will be considered as a focus issue of a peer-reviewed journal following the symposium.
|
Production, Refining and Recycling of Rare Earth Metals
The rare earth metals are fundamental to renewable energy technologies; with applications in electric vehicles, energy efficient batteries and the solar panel production industry, along with the electronics industry and are used as catalysts. This symposium will be an overview of the current state of the art for production, refining and recycling of the rare earth metals, and will target novel research on the production of rare earths which limit the environmental impact of the processes, recovery and re-use of rare earths currently in use and the recycling of spent materials containing rare earth metals.
|
Recycling General Sessions
These sessions will cover innovative research work, advances in ongoing research, and general industrial practices from the recycling of metals and materials. Reports of work in other fields and applications of recovered materials are also encouraged.
|
Ultrasonic Welding II
This second symposium on ultrasonic welding will provide information on developments and innovations in the field of joining through high power ultrasonics. Abstracts on the feasibility of innovative joints as well as topics on the mechanical properties of ultrasonically-welded components and micro-structural investigations to identify the bonding mechanisms are sought.
