The TMS Fall Meeting '99 will take place in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel, which will be the TMS headquarters for the event. All technical sessions and conference registration will be located here.

You may register to attend the conference via TMS OnLine, by submitting the electronic registration form, or you may download the portable document format version of the form by employing the free software Adobe Acrobat Reader, then mail or fax your completed form to:
Due to the popularity of this conference, your advance registration is strongly recommended. Full payment must be submitted at the time of registration. Registration forms sent via fax or the World Wide Web must include a credit card payment. Registration forms mailed must include payment via check or credit card. Your registration cannot be processed without payment in full. The advance registration deadline for this conference is October 11, 1999.
Students must attach a copy of their student ID card to their registration form. Non-member registrants receive a free TMS membership for the year 2000. Confirmations will be mailed to all processed registrants. Badges and advance registrant packets can be picked up starting Sunday, October 31, beginning at 12:00 noon at the registration area.

TMS Fall Meeting '99 registration fees include admittance to all TMS programming at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel, and admittance to the Materials Solutions Exposition and the Heat Treating Exposition at the Cincinnati Convention Center. Payment of the additional $50 bridge fee entitles you to also attend the ASM Materials Solutions Conference, also at the Cincinnati Convention Center.

Cancellation Policy

Tax Deduction
An income-tax deduction is allowed for expenses for education, (including registration fees, travel, meals, and lodging), undertaken to maintain and improve professional skills (see Treas. Reg. 1.162-5) (U.S. registrants only).
PUBLICATION SALES
Concurrent proceedings volumes from TMS Fall Meeting '99, along with other TMS publications, will be on sale in the Fourth Floor Foyer area at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel.
TECHNICAL SESSIONS
Technical sessions will begin on Monday morning, November 1, 1999 and end on Thursday, November 4, 1999. All technical sessions will be held at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel. Abstracts will be available by accessing the TMS Conference Management System (CMS), or by downloading the PDF version of the technical program, using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have access to the World Wide Web, contact TMS Customer Service for a copy of the technical session abstracts. The abstracts will also be published in the final program distributed at the meeting.
POSTER SESSION
A poster session will be held in conjunction with the meeting. Presentations will be displayed on 4'x8' poster boards, no formal oral presentation is required. The poster session will begin Monday, November 1 and remain in place through Wednesday, November 3. Abstracts of 150 words or less must be submitted by September 27, 1999. AUTHORS' COFFEE/SLIDE PREVIEW AREA
The TMS Authors' coffee will be held each morning at the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel, from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. This function is for authors, chairs, and organizers. Authors are asked to attend the authors' coffee only on the morning of their presentation.
CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DEMO
Attention symposia organizers and technical committee chairs. At a special organizers workshop on Tuesday, November 2, 1999, 12:30 p.m., TMS will demonstrate the Conference Management System (CMS). This presentation will familiarize organizers with the direct electronic submission of abstracts and the organization of symposia via the TMS OnLine web site. All organizers of present and future symposia, as well as technical committee members are strongly encouraged to attend.
