During the week of February 1721, 2002, at the 131st
Annual Meeting & Exhibition of The
Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), you can join more
than 4,000 science and engineering professionals, representing more than
70 different countries, who will come together for the opportunity to
add to their own store of knowledge by capitalizing on the expertise and
experience of their colleagues. More than 200 sessions and 1,000 individual
presentations are scheduled. Whether your technical interests lie in precious
metal extraction, aluminum processing, high-temperature superconductors,
or just about any other materials field or metallurgical discipline, you
will find programming that addresses your most pressing needs.
In addition to the technical programming highlights, you will have
other opportunities to build on your knowledge base by taking advantage
of special lectures, tutorial presentations, and short courses. Furthermore,
the meeting will feature TMS Exhibit 2002, which will provide you an
opportunity for one-to-one information and hands-on examination of products
and services that answer the needs of your organization. At least 200
exhibiting companies are expected to fill the exhibit hall.
Event Profile
The TMS Exhibition is an unmatched opportunity to comprehensively market
to more than 3,500 international management and research professionals
from the metals and materials community.
You will meet face-to-face with the world ’s leading material producers, engineers, scientists, and
researchers —the most qualified group of decision-makers who will gather
at any one event during 2002.

multi-faceted event attracting an interested audience.
Featured Programming by the Aluminum Association
Adding
strength to the technical program for 2002,The Aluminum Association
will co-sponsor the following symposium. This programming will add to
an important facet of the Light Metals Program –downstream aluminum
processing and applications.
Aluminum
Sheet and Plate Rolling and Finishing Technology and Application Symposium
Individual sessions will cover topics such as sheet, plate and foil processing,
rolling, gauges, surface inspection and finishing operations. It is
anticipated that papers will be presented by speakers/companies from
around the world. A program for personnel in the fields of metallurgy,
engineering, maintenance, production, quality and management from end
product manufacturers, as well as aluminum producers and equipment suppliers,
cannot afford to miss.
