All attendees of the 2000 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition are invited to participate in the TMS Foundation Golf Classic at the Hermitage Golf Course. The General's Retreat Course is home to the L.P.G.A. Sara Lee Classic and the Tennessee P.G.A. Championship and has earned a four-star rating from Golf Digest. As a tournament sponsor, your organization can help the TMS Foundation and receive recognition in conjunction with a fun and quality event. Discount advertising opportunities exist within the show issues of JOM, and via the conference world wide web site. When you advertise in JOM, your ad will be seen by thousands of decision-makers and buyers. This exposure will not only help pave the way for a successful show in Nashville, but will also relay your message to thousands of other leading materials professionals who read JOM and may not be able to attend the exhibition. Published monthly, JOM has a circulation of over 12,000 qualified association members and subscribers.
Electronic Information Center
When: MondayñWednesday, 7:00 a.m.ñ6:00 p.m.
Your investment: $4,000 each day
Located in a centralized lobby area adjacent to the technical sessions, the electronic information center will be a hub of activity. All attendees will have access to multiple terminals, which they may use to access their e-mail, post messages on an electronic bulletin board, or make use of word processing functions. There will also be access for you to access the internet with your personal laptop computer. The electronic information center will be framed with special signage featuring your company's logo. Your logo will also be displayed prominently as the screen saver on all monitors and you will have the opportunity to create your own postings on the electronic bulletin board.
TMS/AIME Honors and Awards Banquet Reception
When: Monday, 6:00 p.m.ñ7:00 p.m.
Your investment: $5,000
This unique opportunity allows your organization to have a prominent place with more than 300 leaders of science and industry. The reception features an open bar and hors d'oeuvres. Each guest will receive a banquet program acknowledging your sponsorship. Your company name and logo will be prominently displayed on signage entering the reception hall and on the reception napkins.
Student/Faculty Mixer
When: Sunday, 7:30 p.m.ñ9:30 p.m.
Your investment: $4,000
A TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition tradition, the Student/Faculty Mixer brings together more than 500 students and TMS members for two hours that includes beverages, snacks, and a DJ for dancing. A great time is had by all that attend. Sponsoring this event can give your organization an opportunity to establish an identity and relationship with the young people who are the future of our industry. As the sponsor, your organization will be invited to have a representative address the attendees and welcome them to this special event. In addition to the standard recognition, the sponsor's name will be featured on major signage in the hall and you will have the opportunity to have your logo displayed on napkins.
Product and Technology Mini Sessions
When: TuesdayñWednesday, 12:30 p.m.ñ2:00 p.m.
Your investment: $2,500 each day
These special sessions feature detailed presentations of the latest products and services being featured on the TMS 2000 Exposition floor. In addition to the standard recognition, your organization's name and logo will be prominently displayed on the session schedule signs posted outside the rooms. In addition to providing your own company presentation for the sessions, a representative from your organization may be designated to moderate the sessions. This is a great opportunity for recognition throughout the industry.
Meeting Signage
Your investment: $500
This new sponsorship opportunity allows your company to sponsor the signage for the meeting. Your logo will appear on all presentation schedule signs located outside of each technical session room and on all the directional and events signs located throughout Opryland.
Daily Prize DrawingóNotebook Computers
When: Monday, 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, 1:30 p.m.; and Wednesday, 1:30 p.m.
Your investment: $2,500 each drawing
This will be the highlight of each exhibition day. Each of the three days of the exhibition, you have the opportunity to sponsor a drawing for a free notebook computer. All attendees will be eligible, but to win, they must be present in the exhibit hall for the drawing. You will receive recognition on special signage promoting the drawings throughout the conference. Your company will also be listed as the primary sponsor of the drawing for that day, with a special banner prominently displayed in the drawing area.
Authors' Coffee
When: MondayñThursday, 8:00 a.m.
Your investment: Monday-Wednesday, $1,500 each day; Thursday, $750
Each morning up to 500 speakers gather with fellow technical program presenters for a continental breakfast to discuss the program schedule and review their presentations. Take this opportunity to sponsor one or more morning's breakfast. In addition to the standard recognition, your company name will appear on signage in the Authors' Coffee area and custom-printed napkins with your logo. Select the day(s) you wish to sponsor.
Technical Session Coffee Breaks
When: MondayñThursday, morning or afternoon
Your investment: MondayñWednesday, 1 location $375, or 3 locations $1,000;
Thursday, 1 location $200, or 3 locations $500
Located in the hallways and lobby areas outside the technical session rooms, all meeting attendees will be offered coffee breaks. Three prime locations will be set in the morning and the afternoon. You may choose to sponsor one location near the technical session rooms of your choice, or you may sponsor all three locations and reach all attendees. Additional recognition for your organization will include a sign on each table and napkins printed with your company logo. Choose from the following list, the day(s) and time(s) you would like to sponsor:
Exhibit Hall Lunch
When: Tuesday, March 14
A box lunch will be provided to all attendees during the exhibition, on Tuesday, during the mid-day technical session break. The lunch will only be available in the exhibit hall, which provides an ideal gathering spot for attendees and maximum traffic and exposure for you. The lunch and your sponsorship will be announced in all morning sessions on Tuesday. Tickets for the lunch will be distributed to all registrants in their registration packets. Exhibit Hall Complimentary Treats
When: Wednesday, March 15
The GooGoo, a milk chocolate, peanuts, caramel, and marshmallow confection, has been a Southern snack favorite since it was created in 1912. It's been voted "America's Best Snack" from over 1,500 taste treats by the Great American Candy Bar Book. Stations distributing the candy will be located throughout the exhibit hall. Signs recognizing your company as sponsor will appear at each station.
