Welcome to the Biofabrication 2019 Website!

The International Conference on Biofabrication (Biofabrication 2019) is the annual meeting of the International Society for Biofabrication.

On behalf of the local organizing committee, I invite you to join us in Columbus, Ohio October, 20-22.

Biofabrication 2019 will bring together scientists, engineers, regulatory specialists, industry participants, and clinical investigators to present and share their recent discoveries, research direction, and views on the current problems and opportunities in the exciting field of biofabrication. Five plenary, fifteen keynote, ninety podium, and hundreds of poster presenters will gather for 2 and a half days at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to a sponsor’s trade show, special fora are planned on publishing strategies, translational research, regulatory issues, industrial technologies, and for young researchers, and a Gala Dinner at the Columbus Museum of Art. There will be ample opportunity to meet old friends and new collaborators, learn about funding opportunities, and meet the organizers of national and international consortia dedicated to promoting the field of biofabrication.

Ohio State is the 3rd largest university in the United States. An R1 University, Ohio State is ranked the 32nd most innovative university worldwide by Reuters (UK) and 71st amongst all universities by the Times Higher Education (UK). Prior to, and just after, the meeting, attendees will have the chance to tour the Ohio State University Center for Regenerative Medicine and Cell-Based Therapy, Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence, and the Institute for Materials Research. The meeting will be at the Ohio Union on The Ohio State University’s campus in Columbus. Columbus, the capitol city of the state of Ohio, has just been included as one of 52 (see #47) must-see world destinations by the New York Times (https://nyti.ms/2RCc9Ol). I invite you to enjoy the Midwest’s fall colors and participate, take in unparalleled presentations, and discuss the rapid and recent advances in the field of biofabrication.

From basic science to medical applications, the biofabrication community will convene at the International Conference on Biofabrication (Biofabrication 2019). The field of biofabrication is dedicated to researching and integrating technologies such as bio-printing, bio-plotting, and bio-assembly into pharmaceutical applications such as engineered tissue systems and regenerative medicine.

Who Will Benefit

Academic and industrial research scientists, industrial entrepreneurs, postdocs, and graduate students currently studying or applying biofabrication or a related field.
